Brooklyn: is a suburb of Cleveland and a city in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. Brooklyn is one of Northeast Ohio's most culturally diverse communities, featuring a vibrant music scene and the city has become one of the region's leading centers for nightlife. In the city of Brooklyn the population was spread out with 18.9% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 21.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 92.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.2 males.

The Brooklyn City School District, is a city school district of approximately 1,500 students who attend school in one of three buildings. Brookridge Elementary School serves our students in grades K-5. Brooklyn Middle School, grades 6-8 and Preschool, occupies the east wing of a building that also houses Brooklyn High School, grades 9-12, the Treasurer's Office and the Central Office. The District is affiliated with the Polaris Joint Vocational School.
